Who's Wearing Hunting Season

Danielle Corona is the founder of Hunting Season, a collection of luxury accessories that
blends raw, exotic materials with subtle yet confident elegance.
While Danielle unearths inspiration from her many travels, her penchant for design stems
from her home in Miami. From a young age, Danielle’s mother exposed her to sleek and
classic lines through interior design. “I would scour vintage stores to find items with the
same degree of elegance that my mother brought to our home,” Danielle recalls. “In
accessories, I discovered a way to make her design aesthetic wearable.”
Danielle’s fervor for accessories landed her at Miami International University of Art &
Design. Danielle soon set her sights abroad, studying in Paris before venturing to Rome,
where she worked as an intern at Valentino’s accessories atelier in Rome and an
accessories design consultant at VBH. “Through my experience in Rome, I acquired a taste
for the finest degree of craftsmanship,” she says. “I recognized that exotic skins, when worked
correctly, have an uncanny ability to age impeccably.”
Danielle began experimenting with such materials, creating designs for herself and
establishing a loyal clientele. In 2006, Danielle forged her own design path in New York.
While stinting at Barneys, she was exposed to an assortment of luxury accessories. “I
noticed that the vast majority of exoticBskinned accessories were placed at the luxury price
point,” she explains. “I wanted to create a line that would place these coveted materials
within reach.”
Harboring an uncompromising sense of quality, Danielle executed her debut collection
using the finest quality python, snake, ostrich, stingray , and lizard skins, each piece
adorned with handmade Italian hardware. I saw an excellent opportunity to use superlative
craftsmanship and materials to create a timeless collection that merges luxury and
attainability, she says.

In January 2006, the designer launched Hunting Season, a homage to her many global
travels and subtle salute to her mother s decor. The brand consists of handbags, belts, and
small leather goods and is currently stocked in Bergdorf Goodman.

In spring 2014, the brand launched a Home collection, which takes inspiration from
Danielle s extensive global travels and her sharp eye for interior design. The Hunting
Season Home collection encompasses table lighters and decorative boxes made from cow
horn and exotic skins, ranging from python, lizard, and crocodile, to ostrich and shagreen,
which are sourced and handZcut in Colombia. Featuring handmade Italian hardware, the
structure and design of each piece is meticulously thoughtZout and truly is, an organic
extension of the brand. The Home collection will continue to grow and include trays,
tables, ashtrays, napkin rings, table décor and other home accessories. The collection is
available at Fivestory, Chalk and special order through www.HuntingSeason.com.

Today, Danielle divides her time between New York, Colombia and trips to Europe.
